Faber, Emma (1896 - 1980)
Rev. Frank Hinebaugh officiated at the funeral of Mrs. Emma Faber,
83, of Route 1, Granton, Clark County, at 1:30 p.m., Monday, July
28, at the United Methodist Church, Chili.
Mrs. Faber died at 5:30 a.m., Saturday, July 26, at her home.
Mrs. Albert Grimm was the organist at the services and interment
was in the Yolo Cemetery, Chili. Serving as pallbearers were Leroy,
Marlin, Gary, Tamar, Ronald and Jerry Schmitz. Gilbertson Funeral
Home, Granton, was in charge of arrangements.
Emma Schmitz was born on Oct. 22, 1896 in the Town of Lynn to Peter
and Mathilda (nee Kampen) Schmitz, and received her education in
the Town of Lynn.
She married Ludwig Faber on Dec. 22, 1917. They farmed in the town
of Fremont. She also cared for sick and elderly people in the area
for many years.
She is survived by one son, Norman of Granton two grandchildren one
great-grandchild one brother, George Schmitz of Granton and one
sister, Elsie Jurgensen of Marshfield.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Ludwig, On Sept. 21,
1973.
